If you type emarketing into Google, especially if you
specify site:.edu or site:.org, you will encounter a plethora of emarketing
classes, programs and trainings in universities, community colleges, private
enterprises etc.. It feels as though emarketers are coming out of the woodwork,
and are getting ready to take over the planet.
What then differentiates us from this sea of budding
emarketers? How do we avoid getting swallowed in this vast crowd?
I think that this is a question that is relevant to all of
us taking this class, and perhaps the rest of you can suggest some ideas for us
all.
So far, it seems to me that much of the answer to this lies
with classic marketing strategies, product innovation etc and learning to combine
them with the tools taught to us by Prof. Kagan. I would like to learn more about creating full
strategies incorporating the digital world as part of the tool. This article may be a start http://www.destinationcrm.com/Articles/Web-Exclusives/Viewpoints/Applying-Traditional-Direct-Marketing-Principles-to-the-Digital-Age-85150.aspx
If any of you have more articles about that I would love to see them. And of course any other direction you think is helpful.
