Attention Grabbing Differences Among Tablet and Smartphone Users

My post revolves around two topics discussed in the eMarketer articles that you can access from here and also here.
Who are these guys looking up restaurants in their smartphones? Those hungry at the moment, looking for somewhere to sit and have their meal.

A recent study in the US shows that most of the restaurant related searches by the smartphone and tablets are for the location of the restaurant. One of the interesting results from this study is that, mostly people are looking for the near place to eat and if the restaurant has their food when using their smartphones, rather than taking a look at the reviews. What is more interesting is that reviews become more interesting among the tablet users rather than smartphone users. And smartphone users care more about the type match and the closeness to their location. So this shows that depending on the device their using however slightly different points of attention might be different. Just a place to sit and eat is mostly seen among smarphoners.

In a totally different study about those tablet users, a study shows that the second most important use of the tablet for their owners is receiving and reading news(first is sending and receiving emails.). following the study they measured the preferences of the news readers to see the ads in news pages while reading. Well this appeared not to very liked by users of the tablets and smartphone. This intuitively sounds appropriate. While attending to something, nobody wants to be distracted by ads. This distraction was mostly seen among the tablet users. So apparently that's why many of the applications are prices for only the reason of not receiving any ads(which is funny, since it is this much irritating that we prefer to pay for nor receiving it) This more irritation in seeing ads on tablets might explain that we might attend more on tablets to the surroundings that in smartphone because of the bigger screens. And that could be one reason that the tablet readers want to explore more about the reviews of the restaurants than smartphone users.
