Apple expanding its domain to streaming radio?
Apple is apparently seeking to get into the streaming radio game. In true Apple fashion style the improvement is overcoming the restrictions on Pandora that doesn't let the users advance more than a decided number of songs and a bigger variety of artists played in the same hour. The roadblock seems to be that record companies want a piece of the ad sales and the ability to insert their own ads. Apple plans to integrate this service into its iAd mobile advertising platform as well as iTunes.
This entire liberated advertising approach is new to Apple and the new CEO Tim Cook's desire to let the ad division spread its wings. Any service offered by Apple will likely be a game changer and also change the model for advertizing in online radio.
